My interpretation:

Covetousness=> greed, unjustice, exploitation

Anger=> revenge, militarism, over-competition

Foolishness=> lack of education, dogmatism, lack of critical judgement

End these, act intelligently, humanly and bravely to end these, and good things will grow.
